Dignity
Questions for Treating People with Dignity
Questions contributed by Harold W. Becker on October 15, 2007
- Am I at peace with myself and do I personally treat myself with dignity, unconditional love and acceptance?
- Can I be so honest, intimate and filled with integrity within my own conscious awareness that I naturally offer the same to others?
- When I encounter another, do I see them for who they are or who I want them to be?
- Do I unconsciously approach others with fear or apprehension or can I allow them to gift me with their presence just as they are?
- If I do not respect and honor myself, can I really convey and cultivate dignity in another?
- Do I expect respect without first giving it and do I treat others the way I wish to be treated?
- In a world where we have been raised in a duality of "us" versus "them" will I allow myself to transcend this programming and greet all others with the equality and dignity they deserve?
- Is my world view of humanity one of dignity or have I forgotten the common bond that unites all of us on this journey?
- When I look in the mirror of life, do I see myself as worthy and therefore see all others the same way?
